Anju was born in Kannur, Kerala (India) in 2001. She completed her BS-MS dual degree from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, with a major in Chemistry in May 2025. As part of the program, she conducted research for her Master's thesis on “Study of Energy Transfer Between Lanthanide Ions In Zirconia Nanocrystals” under the supervision of Prof. Jonathan De Roo. She's currently pursuing her PhD in the De Roo group, focusing on using upconversion nanocrystals for catalysis.
