Background

Nico was born in Locarno (Switzerland) in 1993. He graduated in 2021 with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in materials science from ETH Zürich. During his master’s thesis he worked on the study of the production and the assembly behavior of nanocapsules under the supervision of Prof. Lucio Isa. At the University of Basel, he is currently pursuing a PhD on the subject of atomically-precise nanocrystals and their surface chemistry.
